It’s been a while since my last update here. Apologize.
We completely understand that API is a great feature to have, it is #1 idea in UserVoice and lots of you guys are still waiting for it. Shame on us.
But so far we are not ready for it. It’s a huge chunk of work to implement, document and maintain. We believe that at the moment we have more important work to do, as all forces now are allocated to release of a new version of our product.
We would like to release and nail it down, only after that we would consider other changes.
I’ll try to keep you guys posted.
I've noticed while I can enter in times in the activity, it only seems to calculate a timespan and doesn't retain the actual start and end times. This is very important. In addition, an easier way to edit past entries would go along with timestamp retention. Thanks!81 votes
In the following article we are sharing some scenarios that (hopefully) explain the complexity we are referring to and how we’re going to address it in the new version.
Idea is to have pop-up notifier, lets say every 15 min when computer is idle and no activity is performing.
Timer stops and needed to be resumed when employee returns to work.
My employees are forgetting to turn off the timer when they are done.
Also, I don't want their timer to tick if there is no activity on their computer, no mouse movements, no keystrokes.
I want to switch from timedoctor which has this feature.
It is only thing that is better in timedoctor and unfortunately is missing in everhour.44 votes
If employees forget to put a time entry, or if I notice they missed a day / item, they can't do it directly on their history page, they have to go back to the main recording page. This leads to issues where they don't really see where the new entry has gone without looking at the history page again.
Simple solution: let people directly add entries on the history page. Currently they can edit existing ones, why not simply allow us to add more.10 votes
For example I could set up a tag that i call #nonbillable and
every time I assign that to an entry, that entry would be marked as
Project manager role
a hybrid role for the user to view only projects they have access to (Admin) but not have access to change the projects assigned to them (Member). Really simple but adds tons of value to organisations working with contracted teams.7 votes
Idea from @Sasha:
"One thing that would make it a lot more useful is if the links back to the original tasks in Asana were visible on the export like they are on the web page. It is impossible for clients to marry the tasks back to Asana.
We currently are spending hours putting all the links in manually."7 votes
Changing Owner1 vote
I'm not able to do "TT" and resolve tracker titles in an existing entry. This would be helpful to have, rather than starting all over, or munging the title, if I start an entry off wrong and need to change it.1 vote
The tab is on the left of the page. I cannot access some of the reporting check-boxes because they are blocked by it. I do a lot of reporting variations and would like this to be easier to do and not require technological gymnastics 0:) Thanks!1 vote
Exporting reports to excel or CSV should respect the setting for rounding1 vote
Attach detailed timesheet to invoices.
As a user of Xero
I want to generate one-line item invoices with attached timesheets
So that I don't have to also generate a timesheet report, save to disk, then attach to the invoice
Thanks :)1 vote
I'd like to see entries I reported for last week, when I do that on Monday I can't see Monday entry for last week, instead I see use;less Sat/Sun entries, why there is no just simple filerting with possbility to provider date range1 vote
